Him, Her and The Rest Of The World
I’m working for quite some time now on a series of motion blur images and I’m so amazed by the possibilities and surprises one has when dealing with this kind of captures. It’s nothing like the traditional photography and it can unfold unbelievable secrets and provoke very strong emotions. It’s another world altogether, where people are not people anymore, but shadows without a name or face, without anything else than a ghostly presence to tell the story.
It’s a motion blur series about “him” and about “her”, that is constantly in my mind and that I intend to work on, but haven’t done too many things so far. I have a few more unprocessed images in this series waiting for me and I hope I’ll be able to concentrate and work on them soon.
Working on this image was a great feeling. It was deep into the night, the lights very dimmed, the music was playing softly, the photo was so dark and moody, and I was sitting on a black sofa, it felt like I had entered in an old mysterious B&W movie and I was living in another world.
I dedicate this image to two amazing artists who have inspired me for a long time and have made me always want to try this kind of photography: Alexey Titarenko http://www.alexeytitarenko.com/ and Francis Bacon (no connection with photography, he’s a painter, but still.) http://www.francis-bacon.com/biography/?c=Home
