Lecture about my photography – Spain
When do they say you’re becoming a classic?
Was that when people are talking publicly about your work without you even knowing it? Well, if that’s the case here’s something that looks like this. A lecture about my work and Joel Tjintjelaar’s, held in Cantabria, Spain a couple of days ago. Here’s the presentation text, according to my friend Google translate, helped by me a little at syntax.
Great Thursdays with Pedro Ferrer – Week dedicated to Joel Tjintjelaar and Julia Anna Gospodarou.
This month with Pedro Ferrer we will discover two original B&W artists.
One of them is the Dutch photographer Joel Tjintjelaar, whose work has been published in many websites and magazines such as American Photo, Black+White Magazine in the UK and the Dutch magazine Digiphoto, to name a few. The artist loves B&W photography because with the removal of color the essence of objects, situations, sceneries and people can become more visible.
The other artist is Julia Anna Gospodarou, Greek photographer and architect, who focuses her work on architectural scenes. Julia uses her incredible talent in long exposures that she masterfully applies in her images – intense tonal ranges and cityscapes beautifully captured make her photography outstanding.
As usual, the presentation will be held at the National Center of Photography “José Manuel Rotella”(…)”_
I would gladly invite you to the lecture, but as I said, it was held a couple of days ago and I’ve just found out about it. But I’m honored nonetheless. Thank you, Pedro Ferrer!
