Top 10 Finalist SWPA 2013 – “Like A Harp’s Strings” Shortlisted at Sony World Photography Awards 2013
BIG NEWS!
I was selected a finalist in the TOP 10 SHORTLIST at Sony – World Photography Awards SWPA 2013 – Architecture Professional Category with “Like a Harp’s Strings” series
This series has already won an Honorable Mention at the IPA 2012 – International Photography Awards, so I should be cool about it, but I’m still at a loss for words as for this new distinction, so let me just quote the email I got from the people at the
WPO – World Photography Organization:
“Dear Julia,
Many congratulations on being selected for the top 10 professionals shortlist in the Architecture category, in the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards.
Your work has been selected from 62,654 images entered from 170 countries. This is an incredible achievement.”
Winners to be announced on April 25th so I need some fingers crossed here!!
Now the hardest part is that I have to do a video of myself talking about my images, to be included in my presentation for the exhibition that will take place in London 26th April – 12th May at Somerset House London and I’ve never ever done a video of myself …actually I haven’t done too much DSLR video generally.
