Total Surrender – St. George Island Cape Sounio Athens
Total Surrender
St. George Island (Agios Georgios), Cape Sounio, Athens
One of the places we’re going to shoot at the Athens Workshop. Yes, we’re going to shoot seascapes too, not only architecture.
Of course, you can’t come to Athens and not shoot the sea, that would mean to miss half the fun. I have planned two days when we’re going to be near the sea around sunset, and the fifth day of the workshop will be a trip when we’re going to be mainly near the sea (and into the sea also), but how many seascapes we’re going to shoot it all depends on you.
This is an interactive workshop, so I’d be glad to hear your preferences and I’ll try to include them in the program.
This is my first new seascape in almost (or even over) 6 months. I’ve been concentrating on architecture most of this year and will still do, but I was really missing working on a sea shot, so much different from architecture (and so much easier too, it was like walking barefoot on the shore.
Just for the record, this image needed only 3 selections (YES, you heard me right! My previous architectural shot needed 40!!!!) I guess I’m going to do more seascapes these days. I’ve got a very nice collection from my trip to Kefalonia Island this summer and also quite a few older ones, waiting for me on my hard drive.
And the sea still enchants me every time.
