FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
HIGH-END LIMITED EDITION PRINTS
Urban Saga – A fine art architecture photography series by Julia Anna Gospodarou. Limited edition prints of the Oculus in New York, presented in a fine art manner.
In the series Urban Saga, I am showing the emotion I feel in front of some of the most iconic buildings in the world, which are examples of how far the human mind and imagination can go. I am depicting this emotion by idealizing my subject visually, and I use as a tool to express it the variations in the intensity of light that black and white photography can reveal. There is tension and serenity in these buildings, and I recreate these two opposing states by opposing the dark and the bright tones. Like a writer who uses words to write a poem, photography uses light and shadow to stir emotion.
